My husband had the day off yesterday giving us a 3 day weekend with him, but went into work this morning – making it feel like a Monday. Mondays at our house are NOT so great. Our 2 girls – ages 3 1/2 and 1 1/2 – have a terrible time adjusting to Daddy leaving. It makes for a very difficult day.
And because I had a TERRIFIC night’s rest (finally), but apparently not enough HOURS of sleep – I’m still groggy. And haven’t had my coffee yet.
So while I fix the girls’ lunch, I’m brewing myself a pot of coffee. Starbucks House Blend – freshly ground this morning – brewed to MY desired strength – and I plan to savor every sip (or gulp) and HOPEFULLY wake up before our new washer & dryer arrive.
Maybe the caffeine will spur me on to get a week’s worth of laundry done this afternoon!!!

Yes, daddy time is so important my to babies and when he is not home most the day, and he finally gets home, they are screaming and crying for his love… literally chasing him everywhere he goes in the house lol
My hubby works afternoons into the night so his time with the youngsters is in the morning. They love to cuddle together and it is a great way to start the day off for them.
They definitely miss him at night, especially at dinner time and bedtime, but have gotten pretty good withthe schedule.
Take Care,
Jen
Yes, I will have to tell my husband that. When he gets home at night – it is just CHAOS for at least 30 minutes – they are so excited they can’t stand themselves (or us) and then they finally settle down and it’s REALLY important for them to have daddy time!
