Still keeping things short – although I’ve enjoyed my Cyber-vacation lately… Getting homework done and focusing on my paper so next week should see things come to a nice end and everything should be wrapped up – Yay!
As I’ve been laid up with my sprained ankle this week, I’ve been able to slow down my pace of life. So I was forced into it, but I’m learning to enjoy it. I’m able to hobble around with my brace, minus crutches, and although I have more “aches” than “pains” it’s improving every day. Roy has been wrapping my ankle which has REALLY helped the swelling. I could barely wiggle my toes for a couple of days, mostly due to swelling. I’m fine, really, but I’m starting to venture around while keeping things slow.
Having more time to sit and read has been wonderful, but I’m getting a little antsy to be honest.
And then I saw this from The Mom Blogs and I thought: PERFECT!!!
Do you like to color? Come on, you can admit it. Coloring is fun. It’s creative. It’s stress-relieving. Get yourself a new box of crayons, open them up, take a whiff and you’re whisked away to your childhood, right? But do you like coloring pictures of Dora or Blue’s Clues? I’ll do it in a pinch, but honestly I’d rather color something PRETTY.
Enter Color Pages for Mom!!!
Sigh.
Pretty patterned pages. Flowers. Butterflies. Birds. Landscapes.
Just click the link below and find something you can color when all is quiet in the house. Maybe move up from crayons to some lovely colored pencils and take your time exploring your creative side. Maybe you can’t afford a day at the spa. Maybe you can’t even afford a manicure. Brighten your world with some new colors and find yourself relaxing for FREE!!!
Oh, and HAVE FUN!!! But don’t let your kids see what you’re doing or they’ll want to color your MOM pages, too…

Oh how fun. My daughter would love this. I think I will print some and let my little grandson give to her for mother’s day. He is only 2.

So sorry about your ankle! I hope you heal up quickly. Of course I’m sure the forced down time has been somewhat of a blessing. Coloring pages for mom huh? Interesting…I’ll check that out.
Have a great weekend!

How fun! I used to love to color, it was one of my favorite things in college as I went through the education program. It was so fun to color bulletin boards and file folders. I NEVER do it anymore, maybe I’ll have to give it a try!
