Who Keeps Filling Up My Calendar?

I was looking forward to these few weeks off of school to be able to accomplish some things in a more leisurely manner, but that just doesn’t seem to be happening.  Somebody (who shall remain nameless) keeps FILLING UP MY CALENDAR, and all I have to ask is How in the world do I manage everything when I’m in school?

Anyway – the weekend was busy and hectic.

I LOST my tickets to the church Easter program at some point last week, so Roy & I didn’t make it Saturday night.  We left the girls with Roy’s mom for just about an hour while we did some running instead and stopped by our Christian book store.  Roy is looking for a new Bible.

But it’s okay that we didn’t make it – my mother-in-law ended up in the ER for severe pain Saturday night (at first we worried it was her heart, but the doctors think that she may have had a kidney stone).  That was not fun.  Roy was at the hospital from about 10:30pm – 3:00am, and his parents didn’t get home until closer to 4 am…  She is still in much pain and can hopefully get in for a followup with her doctor this week.

I had the opportunity to teach in my ladies Sunday school class, and despite the lack of sleep Saturday night, was really blessed by the interaction and encouragement from all the ladies.

Spring Break is upon us – so Curly & Georgie are home together.  That’s nice.  Except when they scream.  Or hit.  Or whine (since Georgie IS in fact getting her 2 year molars.)  Or find a lone crayon and decide to redecorate…  I know – one day I’ll miss all these things so I’m trying NOT to get all bent out of shape about their very creative inclinations.  I’m thinking of making one wall in our spare bedroom an “art” wall – 1/2 coloring and 1/2 chalkboard.  They’ve already gotten a head start on the coloring as it is.

I had a PRETTY layout for Mommies Coffee Break set up last week and then began discovering some “bugs” – like not allowing readers to comment – so I had to scrap it and settled on something that is working okay.  Lara Velez, who was the previous owner of MCB, has offered to do a new design there and I am SO. I’m washing sheets & towels today and have a sink full of dishes, so after I get a few bills paid, I’ve got to catch up some housework after our weekend!
