All is Well

Just a note:  All is well with Little Man.  His surgery was very successful, and his recovery was much quicker than anticipated.  We had wonderful prayer support and encouragement – and it was SO VERY APPRECIATED!  Surgery took place on Tuesday and we came home on Friday. He was pooping much earlier than anyone expected.  How exciting, right?  LOL.  And he has come home and continued to be a prolific producer. And a VORACIOUS...

The One Where I Get Real

I’ve gotta tell you – I didn’t think I’d be writing this.  The past week was excruciating – and it was affected just as much by the multitude of responsibilities and concerns, as it was by my own attitude.  And I had to get Real.  See, God wants me to get beyond my velveteen existence and fully live in the vibrant, exuberant, enthusiastic personality He has given me. I tend to see my responsibilities as...

Little Man Has Arrived!

It’s been quiet here in my virtual world, but that’s because reality has been very eventful! Last week, at my weekly OB visit, my blood pressure was high, and after some lab tests, it was confirmed that I was pre-eclamptic in my 38th week.  My doctor decided to induce, and after 5 hours of labor, our new Little Man was born! He weighed 10 lbs 14.2 oz. Yes, even I was surprised he was that big.  He is 21″ long and has dark...

Thanksgiving Wrap-Up & a Cyber Monday DEAL you CAN’T miss!

I do love the longer holiday weekends when my husband gets extra time off and my daughter is home from school. Although my husband had to work some on Friday, we got to spend the majority of the day – all together – and it was really lovely. We spent Thanksgiving with my husband’s family on Thursday, after the four of us went to see “Tangled – 3D” in the theater.  I haven’t been to a movie in a long...

Happy Birthday U.S. Marine Corps

Being raised the daughter of a U.S. Marine, who also served 16 years in the U.S. Air Force – I can’t help but have a soft spot for our country’s servicemen.  While my dad was no longer in the Corps when I came along, the saying goes Once a Marine, Always a Marine and I can attest to that truth.  I admire my dad for his service to our country – for his passion for freedom and liberty – and the sense of honor, duty...
