Lodi Station Outlets – Part 1

Hope you all enjoyed a lovely weekend and had a lovely Father’s Day.  Our weekend was busy – but really nice.  The weather was warm, and we got out and about as a family – and enjoyed some good times together.  Of course, I forgot my camera, so my pictures taken were from my iPod which doesn’t have the best camera – but it’ll do!!! On Saturday, I had been invited to bring my family to Lodi Station Outlets...

Adjustments are Required

So this has been an interesting week!  A couple of doctor’s appointments, Tball practice & game (4th week, actually), and my laptop died!  ACK!  I’ve been working toward a daily schedule and adjustments ARE required! In fact, I woke up to a sink full of dirty dishes today because we spent the evening at 4H with Curly.  Georgie came along and both of them had a blast.  The meeting took place at a local farm – with dogs,...

Waiting. Pen in Hand.

Life has been busy.  Very busy.  We’ve got a lot going on around here – although I’m not inclined to share a bunch of pictures of said life.  A lot of bloggers are willing to post pictures of dirty dishes or piles of laundry – I’m not quite THAT vulnerable… We’ve got several things in focus these days: 1. Breastfeeding.  Little Man is growing, but believe it or not – he is still...

Do You Feel Old?

While watching the news this morning, the anchors shared the results of a recent study that indicated men and women feel the aging process very differently. Comparatively, men on average, begin to feel old at the age of 58 while women begin to feel old at the age of 29! 29! Why is that?  According to the study, men begin to feel old when their sex life is affected, while women feel old upon the sight of those first gray hairs. Considering the...

Surprise! I forgot!

I thought I had a post scheduled for today.  Surprise!  I forgot!  I’m okay with that, but do have a fun post ready for tomorrow.  If you are looking for a fun project – whether you sew or not – I’m gonna share several ideas you can make for yourself. In the meantime, Babywatch 2011 continues.  LOTS of contractions.  To the point of soreness, fatigue, and total irritability.  But no baby yet.  It’s okay...

Baby on Board! Still!

So Little Mister wanted to make his presence known AGAIN last week, and I spent 2 nights in the hospital while the staff worked to stop my labor.  And they succeeded. Having preterm labor – especially with a boy – is undesirable – both for my sake and for baby’s.  The primary concern is the development of his lungs, of course, and despite the steroid shots, we are praying he can continue to develop inside mama for a...

Navigating the Detours

So life is full of detours, right?  Between the incoming winter storm and an impatient as-of-yet-unborn son, my time here may be limited for the next few days.  I’ve got a couple of scheduled posts (and hope you will participate in responding to them!) ready and waiting – but if it’s quiet here, it’s because it’s NOT quiet at home. lol!

A Walk Down Memory Lane

I spent some time this weekend just reading a few very old posts.  In fact, they were some of my very first blog posts.  My first one, in fact, was an update on Curly when she was only 9 months old!  Oh my GOODNESS how time flies.  Not only can I remember writing the post, I can remember taking the pictures and sharing them here. My original intent when I began blogging was really to share information about my family with other friends &...

Great Reads in 2011!

I’ve spent several months cleaning out a lot of clutter in my life – not just at home, but even online.  Over the year, I subscribe to all kinds of newsletters – for one reason or another – and by the end of the year, I find myself not evening opening half of them and just adding them to my trash.  Now THAT’S clutter – and I’ve been spending the past few months – as I’ve eased back online...
